Frontend Developer role in detail
You will join a growing engineering department of digital innovators and professionals. As a frontend developer you will be responsible for conceiving and wireframing websites and app designs that meet the clients objectives. Creating interface design and coding in collaboration with the backend team to bring a project to life.
Rixxo are experts in online audience engagement with a commercial focus. Our work covers digital marketing campaigns, highly engaging websites and eCommerce builds, and you will be working across both types of projects. We are looking for creative flair as well as solid engineering skills, combined to deliver really exciting, innovative and accessible experiences. Our mission is to change the way that audiences are engaged in an increasingly digital world and deliver better experiences, every time, on time and in budget.
We expect expertise in JS, HTML and CSS. You’ll need to demonstrate how you bring that expertise to interaction design and engineering for SEO & accessibility. We would also like to see the experience of Node, React and production tools such as Gulp & GIT, but these are nice to have. If you’ve got solid native JS, you’ll pick them up. Speaking of which, you will need to know what ES6/7 is and explain how you use it to build modular, efficient and maintainable code. We want to feel your UX love and be convinced you have a great eye for detail.
Part of this role will be getting involved in the consulting periods with clients and leading them to success. The ability to explain what you do and how well you do it to non-technical people will set you apart from the crowd.
About You
We want the skills listed below but we also looking for someone who works well in a team. Communication skills are vital as you will be one of the main points of contact with our clients. We expect you to be sensitive to the demands of project specification and budget, making recommendations appropriate to both.
We operate a highly collaborative, open management style, so we are looking for a new member of the team who can bring ideas, life experience and a wealth of interests to our projects. You should be up to date on the latest UX and UI thinking and the web technologies that underpin it. We will be looking for insights and suggestions in production methodology and expect immediate contributions in this area on your start in this role.
